Sunday Lenten Vespers: Evensong
5:00pm in Chapel
We gather on Sundays during Lent to give thanks for the day that is ending. We praise Christ who is “radiant light”. We pray the evening psalms and the Magnificat, singing of God’s promise of mercy. As darkness falls, we lift up to God the needs and sorrows and failures of all the world.
Lenten Film Series – Jesus on Screen
Join us on three of the Sundays of Lent for viewing and discussion of three distinct cinematic presentations of the story of the life and death of Jesus. The schedule of films is as follows:
Feb 25: “The Last Temptation of Christ”
Mar 11: “Jesus Christ, Superstar!”
Mar 25: “The Passion of the Christ”
Showings will begin each week at 2PM. The location will be determined by the number of replies for each film. Watch the bulletin for more details about each week. And plan to stay after the discussion for Lenten Vespers at 5pm each of those Sundays!
