In the Catholic tradition, the homily is a very particular type of communication. It seeks to expound and reflect upon the day’s Scripture readings in light of current life experiences. The homily is intended to be delivered orally for a particular community on a particular day within the particular setting of the Church’s celebration of the Eucharist. For that reason, Saint Thomas the Apostle does not regularly post homilies online. We have included a few of Fr. Michael’s homilies here so that you might get a sense of the preaching that is typical in our parish.
